The only son of Michael and Aurora Blackwater, two prominent pokemon breeders who had located themselves in Verdanturf over the years, Eliot grew up in a family dominated by girls: eight of them, all older and all seemingly amused to have a "little brother" at least Eliot took it this way. From his earliest memories onward, Eliot was dressed up in dresses, forced to play with dolls, and made to do "girly stuff" with his sisters. Though he put up a good fight trying to get away from the horde of sorts, Eliot was simply overwhelmed most of the time. When he managed to get away from one, he would be "attacked" by another and swept up into quick arms that carried him off for more "fun time" as they called it and "sheer evil torture" as he would later called it. Thankfully, Michael noticed this early on and managed to pull his son away a good number of times. This would initiate a close father-son relationship that would remain up until the time that Eliot would head to Avalon Academy.
As he grew a bit older and a bit stronger, Eliot began spending his days outdoors. For whatever reason, be it the potential dirt or simply a disdain for the outdoors, the majority of his sisters preferred to stay inside, and thus, Eliot found a haven outside. There, he would meet a few other boys in the area and would grow to play with them becoming more outgoing than he had previously been. As he reached the age of ten, Eliot, like many boys, grew unruly and even straight up mean. He'd often clash with his siblings being more violent than he had ever been, much to the worry of Aurora but not so much to the worry of Michael who assured his wife that it was simply a phase. Indeed, he did grow out of this phase but into another one by the time he turned eleven. Rather than being outright mean, he shifted over to pranks and jokes that were humorous to him and possibly his father but never funny to the girls and their mother.
Around this time as well, Eliot began to have a series of nightmares concerning some sort of large violent pokemon that was after him. He'd often wake up in the middle of the night crying as a result. However, after about a month of these dreams, he had a different dream. Just as the scary pokemon of sorts was about to attack, rather than wake up like he normally did, he found himself defended by a small electrical pokemon who issued out some sort of attack at the last moment shooing away the beast. Eliot found himself startled, yet for whatever reason, he wasn't afraid of the pokemon that had just defended him as it turned around to address him. Instead, he found himself happy, grateful, and excited to see the pokemon for reasons he couldn't explain. However, before he could address the pokemon, it had vanished, and he found himself waking up the next morning.
Eliot couldn't wait for bed the next night. Where he had once been afraid, skittish, and worried about his bad dreams, he surprised the family by saying he was no longer afraid. Michael, who had apparently made some sort of bet with his wife, later mentioned that he'd said it was probably just a phase, like everything else. Through the next few weeks, Eliot began to dream more and more of the pokemon that had saved him from his nightmares, and sure enough, he got closer and closer still to it. The pokemon introduced himself as a Plusle at some point, and Eliot began to talk more and more with him.
A year later, give or take, right before Eliot's twelfth birthday, his dreams changed again, and as the Plusle of his dreams had jumped into his arms, he felt as though he was suddenly being shredded apart. Waking up screaming and flailing as he found himself shifting, Eliot cried out much to the fear and concern of his sisters who all but broke down the door of his small room with worry: he was their little brother after all! However, what each girl saw in place of where their brother had been was nothing more than a Plusle. Possibly out of fear, pain, and anxiety, Eliot accidentally released a good deal of sparks from his new electrical cheeks and ended up shattering nearly all the lights in the house as well as shocking the girls and their parents. Much drama would ensue.
The day after that, Eliot would find himself back in his human form still shaking and crying the way he had been when he had finally transformed back that night. His birthday had been forgotten all but completely as his mother ran about the house talking about finding a good human doctor while his father was trying to convince himself it had all been a dream. Eliot's sisters began to avoid him, fearful that he would transform and shock them again, and he found himself alone... horribly alone. As the tensions in the house escalated, Eliot would actually manage to slip out and go to a friend's house for a while. However, something had changed as well. It seemed that the neighbors had heard something had happened and were growing very suspicious. Eliot ended up going home again only to find his mother had 'found the answer to all of their problems'. There was some sort of school that was supposedly good with 'troubled children', and though he had never thought himself to be a troubled case, Eliot was beginning to believe. Michael, on the other hand, refuted this greatly. No son of his has problems! No sir!
A year passed, and things only escalated. Though the months after that had fallen quiet, Eliot would begin to transform more and more unwillingly. He'd wake up in the middle of the night to find himself as a Plusle, but he began to silence himself, refusing to panic and trying to assure himself that everything was somehow ok. The initial transformation had all but been forgotten by the family, but every night that he woke up changed, Eliot would remember it. He began to try and seek answers for himself, and after a good deal of research on his own, he learned of the legends and lore that pokemon and humans were one. Though he didn't believe it at first, Eliot couldn't find any other answer and therefore accepted it as truth. He began to try and transform on his own, and though he found the task tedious, he managed to do it a couple of times. The process of transforming back always seemed to somehow rely on a release of a large amount of electricity, and because of this, Eliot found himself shocking things that he hoped wouldn't mind.
When a man came to the door of the family house one day, Eliot didn't think much of it at first. However, the man in question made note of the boy as being a bit different from the rest of the family. Though most were left to assume that it was because he was male in a house full of girls, Eliot didn't take it that way. Instead, he began to ask the man if... if he knew what was going on. It appeared that the man had known quite a lot more than he had let on and even suggested looking up a school: Avalon Academy. The man would later leave the house rather quickly, much to the sadness of several of the girls who thought he was rather handsome. Eliot, however, would disappear into his room that day and began trying to find out more about Avalon.
The father-son bond was probably what prompted Michael to believe that there was something wrong with Eliot, other than what was now considered to be the family secret, of course, and as he talked with the boy, Michael learned of all that Eliot had been doing. The boy was never one to lie to his father, and keeping a secret for so long was hard! After the exchange, Michael actually began to help Eliot look for this supposed academy, and upon finding it and learning of what it seemed to stand for, Michael realized that it was probably the best for Eliot and his...er...'condition'. Eliot, though grateful for his father's information, found that the actual realization of what he was was starting to sever the bond between them, and after Michael managed to convince Aurora to send Eliot to school there, Eliot left.
Being thirteen and alone on an island wasn't exactly the most fun thing in the world, but Eliot found the teachers and such there were far more accepting of him than his family had ever been. Possibly because he felt so at home there, he took up pranking the other students that he now considered family anyways. His grades were always satisfactory, though never outstanding, but he made a name for himself in being the one that one would have to be careful not to get jiped by.
