Branching out from Crater Lake, the Milotic River nearly cuts the island in half. It is very calm, allowing students who want to get down to the beach quickly to take a small rowboat out and simply drift downstream. Fishing in the river is allowed, so long as everything that is caught is thrown back unless one has permission to catch a Pokemon.
