The middle of three children to a wealthy businessman from Opelucid City, Lilith lived in the lap of luxury as a little girl. She and her older sister Violetta always got what they wanted, and never had to lift a finger in order to do it. However, despite this life of luxury, Lilith wanted a little more. She constantly felt the need for an adrenaline rush. She would often content herself with jumping from the swings at the park, or climbing up tall trees, but soon, that didn't quench the thirst for adventure within her, either.
When she was five, she caught her older sister shifting one night into a beautiful Milotic to take a swim in their pool. Lilith was fascinated, and didn't realize the backlash to such an ability. So, the pair of them would often take nighttime swims, Lilith paddling around in the shallow end, and the beautiful Milotic twisting and flipping through the water beneath her, every so often lifting the girl up out of the water to ferry her around the pool once or twice. This went on for nearly three years before one day, Violetta just upped and disappeared without a word to any of them. It wasn't until a week after that a very distraught and upset Lilith noticed something at the bottom of the pool. Diving down, she retrieved the small plastic bag, with a note written inside.
"I'm leaving. Mother and father found out about Milotic. They're terrified that I'm some kind of monster. I'm going to Sunyshore City. There's a place that's made for shifters like me. Love, Vi."
Distressed by this, Lilith begged her parents to allow her to go and visit her sister, seeing as she was only eight years old at the time, but they refused. To them, Violetta was no more, no better than dead. Enraged with them, Lilith refused to speak to them for nearly three or four years, before one day, she noticed a Starly pecking on her window, a note tied to its leg. It was from Violetta, updating her on how she was doing.
"Lili, sorry it took so long for me to write. I'm at a place called Avalon Academy, in Sinnoh. It's a safe haven for shifters like me. Of course, at the same time, it's school, which is never fun, but you get used to it. Look, if you start having recurring dreams about you and a Pokemon, do not tell mother and father. That's the first sign that you, too, are a shifter. Just be careful, I don't want you to suffer the same fate that I did. Shifters are not monsters. You know that from our nights in the pool! They're people, just like everyone else. They just have something special that most people don't. Remember that, Lili. Love, Vi."
Lilith got very scared then, because she had, in fact, been having dreams with a Pokemon. A Weavile, strong and quick. They raced through dark forests, sparred above boiling lava pits, even climbed up the sheer cliffs of Mt. Coronet in whirling blizzards. Did that mean she was a shifter, too?
The answer came when Lilith turned thirteen. A few nights after her birthday, the Weavile she had come to view as her closest friend charged her, slamming her hard into a wall. It hurt, it really hurt. Lilith jolted awake to see that she had actually managed to sleep through her transformation, waking up as a Weavile. She wasted no time, however. She packed up her things and, hopping out of her bedroom window, began to run.
But not before freezing the pool over.
Now, Lilith has spent the past five years in Avalon Academy, learning to control her power. She may still be a firebrand, looking to fill that need for adventure and that thirst for adrenaline, but now, she wants more. She wants humans to realize that shifters aren't monsters, like Violetta told her. If anything, they are superior!
